BRIEF
Client wanted vibrant illustrations of a multiracial family set during the summer in a semi-suburban area where the characters can take their bikes and go around town. Inspired locations are Fresno and Oakland, California. They wanted the characters and setting to look a bit more realistic while still be able to retain my usual style of illustrations. On each spread, I was given simple art directions as to what they wanted me to illustrate.

CHARACTER DESIGN
Client wanted a lot of personalities with characters having different fashion styles and their facial features a bit more detailed. They also wanted the hair to be noticeably curly so I purchased brushes for Procreate to be able to depict the curls more accurately. Having a multi-racial family had also meant different kinds of curls and hair textures for each kid.
