ISTA deals with measuring and managing energy and water consumption in buildings. They provide solutions to make buildings climate-friendly, safe and comfortable.
✎ Brief
llustrate a woman tearing a part of the wall to reveal a modern European city. They wanted it to be artistic, warm and welcoming. I was also tasked to illustrate 2 variations of women revealing the city and a young boy (representing the next generation). Art direction by Bernd Claußen
OVERVIEW
Commissioned to create a welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike, I depicted a harmonious blend of old, modern, and futuristic architecture, dotted with tiny details that nod to ISTA’s own building and ethos. Characters gaze with hope and excitement towards the unfolding scene, a visual metaphor for the company’s mission to build climate-friendly, safe, and comfortable spaces. I also applied obvious brush strokes for the mural to look more painterly while using a limited palette of muted greens and teals.
USAGE
Cityscape mural illustration for ISTA’s main office in Essen, Germany installed throughout the building’s entrance, corridors, and garage.
