Fête de la Musique, also known in English as World Music Day, is an annual music celebration that takes place on 21 June.

On Music Day, the citizens of a city or country are allowed and urged to play music outside in their neighborhoods or in public spaces and parks.

For Fête de la Musique PH 2019, a new stage was created as a sonic refuge to escape and discover artists in an intimate setting. The line up was kept a secret and clues about the performers was slowly revealed as the event drew closer. The stage to escape, take off your shoes, read, discover talent, jam with strangers and connect with people.

This event was a collaborative effort between Kwago and Warehouse Eight.

Brief

Similar with the usual Warehouse Eight branding, they wanted the posters to look casual and hand written that seemed like a letter from a friend. Photos used were from previous gig events held at Warehouse Eight. A playful use of the hashtag, #FollowtheHedgehog, was used as people could follow along with the event updates. Promo posters for were created for the event and shared across social platforms but most were posted on the Facebook event page.

Art direction by Kayla Dionisio. (All photos used in this webpage were taken by Michael Lorenzana.)
